Singapore investors turn to AI for insights

Singapore investors are increasingly turning to artificial‑intelligence tools offered by brokerage firms to interpret market news, analyse earnings data and extract insights from their own portfolios.

Investors value speed.

AI assistants reshape how traders respond to market events

Platforms such as Tiger Brokers, Moomoo and Longbridge have integrated AI‑driven features that range from in‑app chat assistants to full‑scale AI‑native investing products. When U.S. reciprocal tariffs were updated on Aug. 7, 2025, users of Tiger Brokers reported a surge in queries about the impact on specific stocks and sectors. According to Jingxin Du, the product lead for TigerAI, the AI assistant supplied up‑to‑date context that helped investors adjust positions promptly.

Conversation volumes on TigerAI in Singapore rose 500 percent year on year as of June 2026, while monthly active users grew 65 percent. Du noted that most users now engage in ongoing dialogues rather than single, isolated questions, allowing the system to learn an investor’s trading style, objectives and risk tolerance over time.

One high‑net‑worth client used TigerAI before entering a short‑term trade on a popular tech stock during a rally. The AI flagged overly bullish sentiment, an upcoming earnings release and concerns about operating cash flow, advising the investor to wait. After the earnings report, the stock fell, and the investor avoided a loss.

Another user, uncertain about holding a tech stock, asked the assistant to evaluate the company’s technology, customer base and institutional activity. TigerAI highlighted an upcoming product launch that later boosted the stock’s performance.

Brokerages expand AI beyond simple queries

Longbridge reported that each major market episode in the past year coincided with a measurable uptick in daily active users and AI queries across Singapore and Hong Kong. The firm’s chief, Nowa Zhu, and regional head Gavin Chia explained that their AI‑native tool, Longbridge AI, scans market developments relevant to an investor’s holdings and drafts an action plan for review, never executing trades without confirmation.

Close to 30 percent of Longbridge’s global users have used Longbridge AI.
