Julius Baer announced that Pamela Tseng will become chief operating officer for Asia on 16 November 2026.
The move follows the retirement of Andreas Zingg, who spent 23 years at the bank and helped shape its operating model in the region.
Tseng will be based in Singapore and will collaborate with Zingg during a hand-over period.
In her new role, she will supervise initiatives aimed at improving client and employee experience across the area. She reports to Jean Nabaa, chief operating officer and executive-board member, and to Jimmy Lee, head of the Asia region and member of the global wealth-management committee.
Jean Nabaa said, “I am delighted to welcome Pamela Tseng to the Bank. Her proven track record in overseeing complex, large-scale operations, driving strategic transformation, and cultivating high-performing teams will be a tremendous asset to the Group. At the same time, I would like to thank Andreas Zingg for his contributions and wish him a fulfilling next chapter.”
Before joining the Swiss private bank, the new COO held senior positions at Standard Chartered Bank, most recently as global chief operating officer for private banking, and previously as COO for wealth solutions and affluent banking. Earlier in her career she worked at Citi in New York and Hong Kong and at Accenture in Singapore and Beijing, gaining experience in both financial services and consulting.
Tseng said, “I am honoured to join the Bank at such an exciting time for the Asia business. The region presents significant opportunities, and I look forward to growing the business with colleagues across our markets and functions to further strengthen our operating platform, enhance the client experience and support the Bank’s long-term strategic ambitions.”
In July, the group appointed Peter Burrill as chief financial officer and executive-board member, succeeding Evie Kostakis. That CFO appointment completed a series of senior-leadership changes announced during the year.
